Welcome Back, Bewilderment

The lake was a lot nicer than people give it credit for, but I mostly enjoyed the company I kept while I was away. A lot of things have happened and a number of feelings were felt. I have returned and am currently listening to Back to the Sea by The Sandwitches. If you like lo-fi bands with an upbeat sadness that like to intentionally misspell picnic foods, they might be right up your side-street.

  1. The review may well be true for some people in real life. Sandwiches are warm and they don’t demand extra cuddling afterwards… Am listening to the song right now. Thanks for contributing to my efforts to step away firmly from the 80s. (Just kidding. Don’t block me…) Once in a while you see awesome comments on Youtube, such as this one left for the vid: “i randomly typed in Sandwitchs and came up with this. I wish i could find cool music with any word i type in.” Right on.

  2. upbeat sadness? Do I balance that with restrained happiness?

Thanks for turning me on to a band I’d never have heard of, otherwise. I’m been listening to various songs of theirs for the past twenty minutes now on youtube, thanks to you. I love their harmonies!

Sorry about the typo’s – I’m just now having my second cup of coffee and the brain isn’t quite turned on all the way yet.

  4. Hahaha!! “Plenty of me in the sea”!! Poor little fish…

Awesome band, by the way. :)

I love the intentional mis-spelling of picnic foods! I might have to give them a listen :D

The photo attached to that youtube clip included a girl with an angry stare . . . maybe someone stole her sandwitch? ;)

Your art style is really improving. Also, reading this reminds me to refocus more on my writing.
